This morning, falling on St. Patrick's day, I felt inspired to begin the show in Irish mode, continuing the theme of music from Women around the world. Later I was joined by Alessandra Belloni who makes a couple of appearances this week end at the Clarion music Center in SF Chinatown [www.clarionmusic.com]. We had a fabulous and very informative talk together about her work & origins and the story of her music which brings the ancient culture of the S. Italian Taratella to the contemporary world.
