I started this morning's program with a commemoration for the 60th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the second movement of Gorecki's 3rd Symphony featuring soprano Dawn Upshaw singing words written on a cell wall by a young jewish woman, a prisoner in the Gestapo HQ during 1944.
